Wow. Talk about specialist rep! I think it might take me a solid 12 months to work up all this from scratch. Hardcore!
I would think they would have a hard time getting applicants for a position that requires doing a bunch of really hard, ultra specific rep.
A conductor friend of mine reckons there will be about 100 candidates.... Not that they will all be up to the task though!
The list is difficult and daunting, but auditionees can take comfort in the fact that EVERYONE has to audition on the same list.
Now that everyone plays the same two dozen or so audition excerpts from cradle to grave at every friggin audition, I think this new rep is refreshing.
According to their flyer, they pay 4016 euros/month, which translates to $5,307.94/month USD (if using today's exchange rate), for an annual salary of $63,695.28 USD. Of course, one must factor in the fact that Paris is about 30% more expensive than living in NYC (according to CNN)! Since NY is already one of the most expensive cities in the US, $63,695.28 USD in Paris is not looking great, but it's definitely a living wage.
I'm glad the French are opening up this gig to outsiders.

It announces 18 hours a month but the prep time for this kind of music will offset any ideas about an easy ride!
