Epiphone quality?

Got an Epi Thunderbird. No reason to complain - looks great, sounds great, workmanship is without any defects. I think for $280 (what I paid) it's a steal. No setup required. Bought it for a 13-year-old, and he's been absolutely delighted ever since. Who could complain?
