Epiphone Thunderbird Pro V Gauge choices.

I have an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro V, i've never really know which gauge to buy, i just got for a heavier set to help tension on the low B (and my tone is usually fairly dub/reggae)

The last two sets of string I bough (unsure of the gauge at the moment) the low B did not fit into the saddle (the metal loop was left about an inch further out than it should be)
Ive been led to believe that this can cause the string to snap much easier which isn't ideal. So can anyone recommend a particular gauge that should be fine, but substantial tone wise? I cant get to a shop and i was hoping to order some online tonight or tomorrow..

Cheers!
