Hey guys. I'm in the market for a new bass, and I'm really digging the sound of the thunderbird. However, at this point in time, I don't have the money for the Gibson version. Does anyone own the Epi. one? And if so, do you like it? Also, any other basses that have a similar sound to the t-bird?

I used to own one. A hunk of **** if you ask me.
It is unbalanced and heavy and its very flat tonally. I got lured in as a young player and a few months into it, i sold it to help pay for my new bass.
I recommend going with a jazz or something similar if you want two pups.
