Picked this up on Reverb several months ago after years of wanting one, but I just don't play it enough to warrant keeping it. Turns out that I just don't have the patience to learn any instrument that's too different from a standard electric bass!

This one is several years old with some dings and wear. The stand has seen better days; part of it is held together by what looks like moldable epoxy, but it's stable and works fine.

Does not include a case or bag, but I'll include a Boss AD-2 Acoustic Preamp that helps the passive piezo play nicely with standard bass amps and pedals.

I'd prefer a local Portland sale, but I'm happy to discuss shipping with any interested parties in CONUS. No trades unless they are + cash from your end.

I can't figure out how to DM you, but would like to discuss shipping.

Zombie thread bump! I moved to Portland, OR in July and finally have time to manage some of my threads. Ergo is still available and looking for a home where it'll get played. Here's two more pics of it in my new apartment to prove it still exists. There's a ding in the back of the neck where it looks like it hit something round. I'm not a proficient enough player to have noticed it while playing, but YMMV.

For anyone browsing: I own one of these, and can confirm they are fantastic, handmade instruments. I don't think they are in production any more. Sounds amazing, and always gets lots of attention on stage.

I am interested. I play a full sized upright, but would like to have a portable fingerboard for certain gigs.

Do you happen to know the vibrating string length between the nut and the bridge? Also, is the fingerboard curved enough to bow the strings?

Finally, is your price firm? I am in Massachusetts so would need to ship it.

Thanks

Speaking length of the string is nominally 42" from the fingerboard-edge of the nut to the center of the bridge saddle.

The fingerboard is heavily arched just like a traditional upright. I don't know what the radius is, but I know there are users on the DB side of the forum in the Ergo megathreads that do play some arco on them.

PM me to discuss price and shipping!

Taking the price down to $750 plus shipping, Paypal F&F CONUS. It just sits in my corner. I tune it up and doodle on it once a month or so. Would love to put it into someone's hands who'll put it to use!

I have a 5 string Ergo which Jesse made for me around 2012. Excellent bass. I don't think you will find a better EUB than Ergo for the price. As Jesse himself told me, the later ones are a LOT better than the earlier ones, so purchase with care. Hope that helps.
