ESP JB-4? Japanese ESP jazz bass?

I can't seem to find any information of these basses online

I have come across 2 of these basses in my home country Norway, one that says «ESP Standard» on the head, and another that simply say «ESP».

Apparently, both are Japanese but the age is uncertain. I would love to include photos, but since i do not own the pictures I'll take no risk in using them. The head shape is original/not Fender-esque so I assume they are at least post lawsuit era. In fact they do look rather fresh. But what do I know.

So I ask all of you bass geeks, what do you know about the ESP jazz basses?

Yes, quite the same but that one is passive and the ones I've seen are active. Also I can't tell what it says on the headstock, but I don't think it's the same.

No, very similar to the first bass, with metal knobs and letters on the headstock in the same style.

They had 4 knobs and a 9v on the back. Thanks for helping out!
