ESP LTD B-205 (SM)

I just picked this up ESP LTD B-5E and I'm impressed with the quality, craftsmanship and the ESP pick-ups sound really good to me with lots of options.
Mahogany body with ebony top.

I've been thinking about getting a LTD B-4E, and your picture above is adding a ton of fuel to my GAS fire with no end!!! :help:
I'm afraid I have no choice but to give in and get me a B-4E in next few days! ;)

I always wanted to get the B205SM! Thing is that Ive only played it once and it was a long time ago.. No music shop in my town actually had that bass in to try so all I could go on was some youtube clip and online reviews.. Buuuuut, I just bought it and I dont think I will be disappointed :)

I have owned a lot of Basses through the years and this one has the best finish work I have ever seen.

One thing I was not used to was the dual action truss rod, I thought something was wrong when I went to make a small adjustment, it will bow the neck in either direction which was new to me, but what freaked me out was the adjustment is backwards! Which I learned is common for dual action rods.

I'm pretty sure they are 34" scale.

Not true, I just bought a brand new 206-SM off Ebay about a week ago. It is 35" scale. Unfortunate, I wanted it to be 34" like the ESP site said. I played it at church last Sunday and it sounds and plays great. Cut through in a large worship band with ease. Pickups and pre are as good as you can buy in a bass in this price range IMO.

Only the 206 is 35" scale? Which is a little strange to me, but the site says 34"

I was walking around my local Sam Ash last year looking for a replacement for my RockBass that I quickly grew to hate. I walked past a B206 SM a few times thinking it was a good looking bass but didn't want an LTD, reminded me of a rusted out old Ford. Then I saw it was discounted $100 due to a damaged tone knob. I played it, bought it and fell in love with it. Of course I bought a set of Zebra wood knobs to replace the missing one.

I've been eyeing the spalted maple top version a lot. Trying to avoid getting a 2nd bass. Dont need one, only reasojm to have a 2nd would be that can. Lol, But still the b204sm is quite attractive. But then my warlock is spalted maple to, but not as rounded, so ,... Lol.
