Espresso Machine for around $60?

^ this. I love coffee. (I was weened on expresso from the original Peet's.) I have espresso machines, French presses, Melitta, etc. But this is my go to. Best method for getting really full flavor without bitterness I've found.

A great coffee maker can only come from a company that also produces world record breaking flying discs.

I picked up this low-tech device from BB&B for $25 and I love it.

Here's a quick demo

-It brews 1-4 shots of "espresso" at a time.
-Less than 1 min from start to finish.
-Portable, you can take it camping, to work, on a plane.
-No electricity, no mechanical parts, little chance of anything breaking.
-Simple to use, no tinkering, adjusting or learning proper technique.
-Clean-up is just as simple. Pop the coffee "puck" into the trash and rinse everything under the faucet.

Easily worth the money.

Not espresso, strong coffee.

The stove tops are a perfect poor man's macchiato.

Once you break in the gasket , fill and pack well for optimum pressure.

I'm gonna have to disagree with that as well. It's an entirely different flavor profile and texture from espresso. That isn't good or bad. It is what it is. A macchiato also requires a dash of microfoam which is something that requires an espresso machine to make. Again it is a different texture and flavor from milk that has just been heated.

I'm totally not putting down moka pots and they are a staple in many Italian and European kitchens. It's just a different drink from espresso.

Breville often sell their basic Roma machine refurbished through their ebay store, around a 100$ or so.

It's not a "connoisseur grade" machine, but it does good espresso.

That's cool QT.
Some come with foamer tubes. I don't use them but have one and tested it.
I don't disagree with your distinctions.

And my suggestions are Man-Card approved.

If Slobake ends up drinking a short in a dainty little cup with his pinky in the air,
[[[shivers]]] perish the thought.

Are you feeling lucky punk?
