ETA for Epifani PS112?

They sound great with my 64' Fender jazz with flats also.

Haven't had the pleasure of playing an HT112. I bet it would sound sweet with the UL110. Wilbyman (and others) use a UL110/112 setup and dig it. I'd think the PS112/UL110 would be a good combo.

The PS112 (with a Focus 2 Series II) sounded great at practice tonight with a piano, acoustic, electric, and the electric kit with the amp on. The electric player had his amp on a stand pointed right at me. I had the 112 on the floor behind me. It's an elevated stage and the sound guy barely had me in the house. No crowd just practice - and I was pointing stage right - but the sound guys had to almost shout to hear each other in the back of the room - seats around 600-800. I have to caveat this to say that the room is live, though.

I'd say the PS112 had just about the same amount of punch as my VL110. But had much more low/low mids. I barely boosted the bass on the amp. I adjusted a little on the bass, but mostly used the pan and the coil splitter to change my tone (55-02) -- playing a musical that goes from urban gospel to contemporary to slow ballads.

The sweet airy highs are what I was missing with the VL. The PS112 also goes deeper, but different. The VL is dark and mellow sounding, while the PS112 sounded old-school with the tweeter turned down, but could get a nice pop with the tweeter at noon and the treble on the bass slightly boosted. Whereas with the VL, I had to really crank the treble on the bass to get a good modern slap/pop.

I've used the 110 on the floor with the tilt back and have had plenty lows, it's just different. I don't think I'll get rid of the VL even if/when I get another PS112.

I have practice Thurs and a gig this weekend where I'll be using the VL/PS stack and the Focus 2 Series II with some PA support.

The PS112 / VL110 pair sounds really good in my practice room with my Fender V and 55-02. I'm gonna check it out more tomorrow at practice.
