Double Bass EUB that look like DB

That must be the bass I remember, but it was 50+ years ago, so memory could be cloudy. I also didn't remember Mr. James being so short.
Seems to be a solid body EUB with an magnetic pickup only.
The element at the bridge seems to be a tuner.
Expect it to be heavy. My Clevinger keyhole bass is heavier than I like and this one has more wood.
My wife calls the Clevinger “the mosquito” because it sounds like one when bowed acoustically. Since you do not have a resonance chamber as well, it wouldn’t sound better acoustically.
Don’t pay more than 1000€ for it, better a bit less. (I don’t have any interest in it, but if it’s close to Cologne I may have a look for you.)
A piezo can be added if you do’t like the magnetic. Playing at the end of the fingerboard gives you much more output than in the basic positions because of the smaller string to magnetic pole distance.
With a good piezo and a high impedance mixing preamp it can be a nice solid body EUB.
But keep the ”schlepp”-factor in mind…

I owned a Clevenger Keyhole Bass very early on when the only other EUB was the Oregon Bass that was built for Glenn Moore and David Freisen (they cost $6,000.00 and only 4 or 5 of them were built.
It served me well for gigs on small stages, outside, to loud for DB. I know own a Kolstein Busetto Travel Bass it sounds like a bass and plays like a bass.
