Before the recent craze of ultra-featherweight combo amps, this was the one to beat. Despite it being 59lbs(!!!!!!), I have NEVER heard a small amp like this that could simultaneously A) handle the low B of a 5 string bass at loud volumes B) be able to present a transparent, uncolored tone that just works magic on acoustic instruments and yet C) has the voicing/EQ capabilities to give you a more colored sound if desired. Pretty frickin cool.
If someone had a regular theatre gig or a low volume church gig where this heavy little sucker could remain in one place, then THIS is your amp. Shocking amount of tone/volume, just TOO heavy for me these days.
