Double Bass Euphonic Audio Micro

I think most guys around here use the doubler not the micro as it's basically the same amp with the added mic input and functions around that. I really like my doubler, it sounds really great with DB and electric bass. Functions real well blending a mic and piezo pickup too. It's been a reliable work horse for me.

I have a gk 700rb that I love and plan to keep using as well as a small combo for practice and small gigs. But I've been thinking about getting a second head for a while. I play all diets if music jazz, rock, funk, disco, reggae, etc, on upright and electric. What are the other features the doubler has that the micro does not? How useful are they? How much bigger is the doubler? Thanks.

I got a used Micro300 from another TB'er. It has served me well. I bring two micro heads with me (the other is a GK MB200, also second hand), each ready to go with its own set of cables, so one is a spare. Which one is the spare on any given day depends solely on my whim, though the Micro300 does dish out a bit more power.

EA are good people.

EA Micro 300, the original black one, and a Wizzy 10. When I bought it one of the channels wouldn't work, but the dealer assured me I could buy it and get it fixed under warranty. Despite the fault, I couldn't fault the price (Boxing Day sale) and took it home. To my delight, the second channel fixed itself the same day and I've never had a problem with it since.

Part of the reason it was on sale was the new Micro 500 and Doubler had just come out. I was going to get the Doubler, but couldn't pass up on such a bargain. Some day I'll get the Doubler and keep the Micro 300 as backup.

My amp is lighter than my pedalboard!
