He was featured in Bass Player magazine in 1997. He was a touring pro for most of the 60s before switching over to full time studio work. The bass on the box is a custom 1966 Fender Precision. No controls, jack on the side. Blue body and fretboard. Over the years the nitro has aged to a dark purple. The BP article had a picture of him and Leo together with the bass.

The Count playing a Clavinet is very cool. Note Boo Berry playing a reverse flying V presumably to avoid copyright infringement. Or the dude from Gibson in the leather jacket.
