even if you can only afford ONE lesson, it would be worth it, as long as you research the instructor and know they are good. there are poor habits (that could lead to logn term physical problems) that can be hard to describe/diagnose on TB that a competent instructor will readily identify in the first lesson.

I think step number one is to learn how to tune your bass.

If you can't put it in tune then trying to play will be an exercise in futility.
