excellent Juan Alderete vid!

how do you mean? like the cam janek used didn't have good sound?

Well IMHO I find those effects pretty esoteric sounding and it just sounded noise-like to me. I know I'm in the minority with my opinion on that but that my interpretation.

Nothing against the man or the player himself at all.

Juan is a SERIOUS bada$$....I remember digging on him back in the 80's in Racer-X.

When He was John and not Juan...:hiding::D
He is a good player and I thought his playing on those old shred records was very good.

Thanks for checking out the podcast guys. The Tremelo was indeed the Boss PN-2, and Juan is indeed one of the most creative low end manipulators out there. Stay tuned for the mother of all pedal and frequency manipulation websites ever!!!!! it's in the works right now and will have JA at the helm!

Many more videos on the way.... up next: Marcus Miller, Hadrien Feraud, Reggie Hamilton, Nick Beggs, and Jimmy Earl... Just have to find a way to make all the schedules line up!

Janek

Janek you guys really ruined pricing on those meatboxes for those of us who don't have one:p and for those that do or did man oh man... bonanza!

Last 3 on eBay in the last couple days:eek:
$162.50
$185.00
$189.00 BIN

I think the last one before that podcast was in the $60 range.

Looking forward to that new site!!:hyper:

Yeah, this vid sent me to Ebay for a Meat Box too. I'm shocked at what they go for now.

Booya! A little bit of diligent scouring of le interweb turned up this for me. Seeing prices which may eventually drop again, who knows, I'm pretty happy with the Benjamin with shipping included I paid.

Did I miss what he uses the Line6 M9 for? He's talking about owning a handful of tremolos, wanting chop (slicer) effects, LFO sync, etc. and there's the M9 sitting all unused over there in the corner while it has all of those effects readily available and programmable and beat sync (tap tempo) or expression controllable.
