I'm on the market for a new amp. I've been looking for some Ibanez 10" 250 wats for $700. How does the sound compare to a 15" Fender Rumble 150 combo at half the price ?. Will I get the same low end and punch out of the 10" speaker ?
If that's the Promethian, it's stout amp that can be removed from the combo and used with larger cabs for gigs, or have another cab chained to the combo, so you're really getting more than just a little combo amp.
Bigger speaker doesn't always mean more bass, but the little 110 by itself couldn't handle anything louder than something like a restaraunt gig with acoustic guitars. I think the Rumbles were having some problems? Not sure....search that.
Yes, the Rumbles are rubbish while the Promethean is awesome. But you can't really compare a 1x10 to a 1x15. Add an extension cab to the Promethean and you're good to go.
