Double Bass Experience with Musicpro Insurance?

I just received a very favorable quote from Musicpro. I'm trying to insure a new DB and bow. They want about $100/yr. This is far cheaper than the quotes I received form Merz-Huber and Anderson, both of which wanted a minium of $250 with a $500 deductibe. Musicpro's deductible is $100.

I have not called Clarion yet but expect that their rates would approximate Anderson's and M-H's.

What I would like to know is what experience any of you have had with Musicpro.

Thanks

My only suggestion based on experience is that you watch the renewal date, put it on your calendar. I've no idea of their current behavior, but I dumped them about three years ago when I was uninsured for weeks in two instances within two years because they did not send me renewal or lapsed policy notices. That was a deal-breaker.

I've no idea about claim experiences as I've never had one.

I have used them for 2 years and I have not had to file a claim, but upon initial signup they were very helpful. I recently renewed, and they sent two or three email reminders starting about a month before the expiration date. The pricing costs about 1/3 of my previous carrier's Clarion, for the same or better coverage. I think it's $.01 for every dollar of insurance required. Also, I've noticed on their site options to insure for single events where the venue may require the performer / sound company to carry it. Other options too. Again, I haven't had to file any claims so I don't have that experience, but if you read the fine prints and do your due diligence I believe it's one of the better music gear insurance scenarios out there

Been with them many years. Do a search here as I'm sure I've written about my experience...I had no problems with my claim. Paid promptly, actually most painless insurance claim I've ever had. That was maybe 5 or 6 years ago?

Their communication used to lack, but the email reminders the last few years have been great. I had the same experience Bob G did. Solved it with Outlook Calendar reminders. All policies expire in June I believe. If you join later it is prorated.
