Extension lead to power pedal board?

Hi all,

I'm currently looking to power a small pedalboard consisting of about 4 pedals (mixture of 9v and 12v pedals). I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinions on whether to power these pedals using an extension lead and whether this would introduce any noise into my setup? And if there are any other recommendations.

I would go for a decent powerbank, however my budget doesn't allow for one of those anytime soon (spent it all on pedals and board )

not sure what you mean by "extension lead" or "powerbank".

pedalboards are powered by a power supply, like from voodoo lab, tru-tone or whatever, and you need a long AC cable to plug the power supply into the wall.

Sorry my terminology may be a little too British, so please forgive me. By extension lead, I mean power strip.
Would a power strip cause noise if used to power all my pedals?

One definetely "not-so-cheap", but all the more "pro" way of doing this as follows:

Build a multi that has power for your pedalboard power supply, and any signal cables in one. I bought 10m (that's around 30ft) of guitar cable [running signal to my amp) and powercable (supplying power to PSU from amp position), taped them together, and covered them with polyester cable webbing. Add appropriate power connectors and plugs on each end, and bam, done. Easy to set up and tear down, coils easy and travels in my pedalboard case. Also super-tidy, as a bonus.
