Double Bass External power supply for fdeck HPF pre?

Another revival... I have the fdeck 3, built like a tank, works great!
Question...If a power supply(not turned on) is plugged into the AC jack, will the battery still drain if the output jack is plugged in ?? Rather ask then experiment:)
Thanks

I have in the past mounted these units on the tailpiece with velcro & foam and left the pickup plugged in. It's very handy for gigging - just one buffered onboard output, all ready to go.
The battery would last about 6 months with my fairly frequent usage and the warning light on the 2M seems pretty conservative (can get at least another gig or two after the first warning).
I may go back to that, this year. (OCD me dislikes plugging extra things in each & every gig cycle if it can be avoided. Removing & remounting the unit for battery changes was a drag, but maybe I can come up with a less awkward system.)

I could be wrong, but I don't see anything in the schematic that would prevent the battery from continuing to power the circuit when the power supply is turned off.

It's easy enough to check. Unplug the power supply from the wall, but leave it plugged into the pedal. If the pedal still passes signal, the battery is supplying power.
