It was a three mile drive on a road I've driven on for the last 20 years, and no one was available to come pick me up and drive me home. So instead of sitting in the lobby for an hour or call a cab, I got behind the wheel and drove about 20 miles an hour all the way home.
Along the way, I got a little foreglimpse of what driving will be like for me in 40 years.
