F-Bass vf5purchase advice

Hello!

Looking for some hype or not

Today I will have an opportunity to look touch smell and finally play F-Bass VF5. Second owner made in 2008 year. Not so mint after few gigs signs scratches at the back. I think price is good? 2350 USD or 2100€. Recently bought Sadowsky RV5 I’m curious if its different beast. I also own 5str Fodera Monarch and Sputnik which I’m trying to sell .... Any owners or fans? Is it a good price .. and great instrument? Any advices? Thank You..

I've had two, a BN and a VF. I much prefer the VF series - the Fbass to MY ears, always have a super clean low, the highs are the range of indifference (either snappy or sweet and smooth). Likely the woods chosen reflect this (?)...regardless, the quality is top notch, the neck should be amazing. Head over to the Fbass Club forum and you'll read days worth of praise. That price...i "think" is a bit high....its a 2008 with many clean loving miles on it. Other guys will know better in the club forum. May want to post this over there....hard to go wrong with an Fbass PERIOD.
I too have a Monarch Standard, different beasts. I dont have Sadowsky experience - Have fun with it - maybe you can bring the Sadowsky to A/B them?

I've played a VF for the past 8 years. I love it and would pay any price for it. It feels right and sounds great.

I own an FBass VF6-PJ Fretless, which sounds fantastic and possesses much mwaaah!
