I recently acquired a used Fano JM4 and noticed there wasn't a Fano Basses Owner's Club. Let's start one and show off our Fano's!!

The Starcaster-looking GF4 is the one that piques my interest. Unfortunately, they don't seem to make them anymore.

Played my first show with this Fano JM4. Loved it. I put a set of GHS Flats on it. Great feel and tone.

I’m really enjoying this bass with flats on it.

I don’t know whether these are Fano or Lollar pickups. How can I determine that?

Such a nice relic on this, I’m probably dinging it up unintentionally but would have no idea!!‍

It looks like yours is a Standard JM4, which would have had the FanoBird pickups stock. I’ve played many gigs with La Bella Low Tension Flats on my Fano - those sounds lovely on that bass. I have rounds on now but go back and forth.

i think fano and novo have merged. not sure whether they'll continue to make the fano range or whether everything will fall under the novo banner?

Pretty sure they are just colocated. I didn’t get the sense that either brand was going away.

Yeah the posts made it seem like everything would continue on for both brands, they were just now under one roof/ownership. Interesting progression for Fano from PA to CA to AZ and now back under Dennis’ control in TN.
