Fantasy NHL Hockey again!

Is your fantasy seing pro hockey back in Hartford?
Just kiddin'....

I admit that this is one of the best logo around integrating two letters.

Actually, it is! If the Whalers come back, so do I. ;)

When I wear one of my }3 jerseys to a hockey game, I always get lots of positive comments, often including "what a great logo they had!"

I remember well that whenever the Whalers hosted the Nordiques, there was always a section full of fans in blue with cowbells and horns who'd made a long bus trip down from Québec. I admired that passion; at one game during an intermission one of those fans was in line behind me at the concession stand so I bought him a beer.

"Breakfast schmrekfast. Look at the score for god's sake. I'm only in the middle of the second and I'm winning 12-2. Breakfasts come and go Rene, but Hartford, the Whale? They beat Vancouver once, maybe twice, in a lifetime."

Sounds like Kevin Smith. ;)

Back when I played hockey in a competitive league, one of the other teams we played against had a Whalers logo flipped upside down.

One of my buddies played goal for them (we had too many goalies in our system, so he got sent over there. We played against them...about a week later he died in an avalanche on a school trip :().

On an unrelated note, Dave's Sexy Pylons are ready to rock the fantasy league.

I wouldn't mind checking out the fantasy hockey league. I remember the Bing whalers well (I live 1/2 hour south of Binghamton). Before that they were the Broome (as in Broome County) Dusters. Then the Binghamton Rangers. Franchise moved to Hartford, became the Wolfpack. UHL Franchise comes to town, the BC Icemen. Seriously bad hockey. Now the Sens AHL affiliate is there.

And, yes, the Hartford logo is a great one. Though, it's no surprise I prefer the Winged Wheel ;)
