To make a long story short, my GK 1001 RBll was blown after someone conected it to 220 volts (it was 110 volts). I got it repaired, they replaced the power source and converted the amp to 220 volts. The only thing that was damaged in the amp was the horn amp, but I don`t use it.
I was at the studio recording with my fender roscoe beck. The engeneer conected my Fender Roscoe Beck V to a sansamp BDDI, and the GK head from the direct out to the console (At the studio they have the BDDI, and I went to the studio with my GK 1001 ).
I`ve got to problems while recording, that where solved magically.
When I was testing sound, I was getting a buzzy interference that dessapeared in an instant. After this I started recording and a farty sound started to happen. The engineer described it as a fried sound. But after some minutes the sound was gone and I could record the song.
After I `ve got home I looked at the GK settings and the master volume was off. It seems the engineer turned it off, and I recorded only with the sansamp?
There is something wrong with the amp or it was a bad cable??
