And then there's the understated cool of Gary Willis, a musician in free-flowing synergy with his instrument (most of the physical action about 1/2 way through):

Something about the way Willis moves often makes me think of Jay and Silent Bob's dance scene in "Clerks".

Every bassist from the Disco era
Along with those second generation funk bands as they battled for the title. Con Funk Shun, Rose Royce, The Gap Band, Lakeside, Heatwave...often doing chorography and not seemingly freestyling like say Abraham Laboriel, Verdine White or Flea.

If I was tp pick one total package, playing, dancing (with choreography) and singing Duke Jobe of Rose Royce.
