Favorite DI for Rickenbacker 4003?

Thanks so much to everyone who has replied so far… This is really helping me to narrow down which pedals to test in the shop.

And yes, as one TBer noted… I probably should have posted this in the effects forums… Sorry about that folks!

I mostly play Rics and have been very happy with my Ric tone through all of the DI-equipped Darkglass pedals I've tried. Just depends on your taste, but my favorites are the Vintage Deluxe, Vintage Ultra, Alpha-Omega, Alpha-Omega Ultra and the X7. All of these options have EQ and Drive options and DI- both of the Ultra versions have a second footswitch to turn the Drive section on and off (on the other pedals you have to just manually turn the Blend knob to the clean side for a totally clean tone with EQ, though the X7 doesn't really have a "Clean" side).

Thanks all! I've decided to go with the Darkglass Vintage Deluxe! Played my Ric through one at the shop the other day and loved it. Just what I've been looking for. I was under the impression that Darkglass was more about getting a metal sound but apparently I was very much wrong. Their products appear to be extremely versatile!

You are in a never ending search that many of us share. Keep trying pedals until you are happy, but you'll see that even you are satisfied, the need to keep searching for THE sound will push you to keep going.
I've had a Sansamp VTBass, both single stompbox and deluxe version, also had the Sansamp Bass Driver deluxe. Both are great. Currently I'm using the Ampeg SCR-DI and it's amazing and versatile, but a different beast.
I already have in my GAS list the Tech 21 DP-3x with the intention of reducing my gear to just a couple of preamps, and get rid of tuner, compressor, sonic maximizer, etc.
The Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig it's a great option too.
