I think there are some real cool ladies for bass. The girl from the GoGo's, for one. Really made the songs listenable. Listen to her lines sometimes.

Sara Lee(I think is her name) from B52's fame. Loveshack, baby!!

And the lady who did some touring and recording with Sting. Awesome. Not sure her name, but wow. I think she was the bassist in The Waitresses, also(early 80's)

I like Johnette Napolitano and Mareea Paterson, who has played with Tim Finn. One of the things I liked about Mareea is that she knows when NOT to play.

I recently heard Tal via a YouTube clip, and her tone is stunning. I absolutely love it.
