Julia Roberts!

I quite liked that movie (Satisfaction - 1987) and thought it was cool that Julia is a lefty bassist. Watching her "play" it seemed obvious that someone taught her some basic bass skills even if it was just for show.

I'll bet she's never even touched a bass since then though.

Doris Yeh off the top of my head. They're even less common in metal probably. Jo from Bolt Thrower comes to mind as well though.
