Favorite Jazz bass tone?

Ben Kenney on anything from "A Crow Left of the Murder" by Incubus That is the Jazz Bass tone that's been stuck in my head for years. I'm finally getting close to nailing it though, now that I manned up and got some flats.

Honorable mention to Skeet Curtis on Disc 2 of Maceo's "Roots and Grooves" recording. It's a super-clean scooped J tone, and certainly wouldn't work well in any style of music - but it works really well on that record.

Dennis Chambers on drums, too.
