FBV Shortboard/Pod XT?

I'm using a Line 6 Bass Pod XT, which has no foot switch. No big deal, as I play classic rock, and have no need to switch effects during a song. I would like to speed up switching during gigs, though, so I'm considering the FBV Shortboard-but not sure if it will do what I want, which is to store about 4 presets I can switch between with one of the 4 foot switches. Anybody have any experience with such a setup? There are a few on Ebay I'm checking out. Thanks for any advice.

You should have no problem with the shortboard. I use one and it switches very quick and clean so it should be fine for your application.

I use the Pod XT with an FBV4 - really does everything I need, as I usually only use 4 sounds on the Pod. I was thinking of getting the next one up (Express?) for the tuner function, but didn't really want the pedal, so I opted for smaller and more portable.
