Fearless 115 bass cab for pa subs?

Does anyone know how well a fearless 115 with the 3015 in it would do as a pa sub? Thinking about building a couple from cab shells.

It would work wonderfully but would be a waste of money (unused drivers and crossovers plus weight and space). Just build a couple of 15 subs. And if you are going to modify the design the results will suffer - greatly. The entire idea is to build it precisely as designed to obtain the stellar performance they offer. Simply putting the same driver in an inferior cabinet will yield an inferior cabinet. Look into the kits offered here.

I've used my 1515/66 as a sub many times. It works just fine.

Of course it would. If you keep it in it's current cabinet, all you need is a crossover or very good eq. I used my hartke 8x10 as a sub for house parties and such. Flippin' awesome! The fearless cabinet is designed for its speaker combination. Of you move it to a different cabinet (random subwoofer box) you will lose a bit. Some may notice others may not. The 3015 is pretty much a mid bass driver. I have a pair in a nice ported bass cab. Wouldn't ever consider it for sub use... The 3015 lf is a sub driver... so is the 3012lf. I used 4 of those as subs under some light pa tops. FEarful 12 sub design cabs. It was ok. Not fabulous.

Oddly enough I upgraded from QSC KW-181's to EAW LA400 subs recently. 4 of each. The EAW's are horn loaded 12's. They completely smoke the front loaded 18's. Running them off 500 clean watts per cab. Amazing...
