Female Bassist from Canada

Hello all!

I'm a 30 year-old woman from Canada who is fairly new to playing bass. I started playing a year and a half ago when my friends needed a bass player for their band.

I came on here to learn more about playing bass, of course, and to get advice on improving, as well as stage performance. Thanks to everyone who commented on my first thread asking for advice!

Belle Armoury is indie-rock, and Mindseed is pop-rock. Sometimes hard to put your own music into a genre!
I definitely know nothing about gear.. it's not what I'm actively looking to learn about but one of my side goals on the forums! Right now I have a purple Ibanez SDGR, that I literally got because it was purple.

Very cool. You certainly don't have to be a gear head. It was just a conversation starter to pry more information out of you.

Where I live the university's colors are purple and gold. Your bass would be a big hit.
