Fender 2003 USA Precision Deluxe Pickup Question

I have an 03' USA P Deluxe (with the dual Jazz bridge pickup). The bass is obviously active but what I can't seem to find is if the pickups themselves are active or passive. Can anyone shed some light on that for me?

I have the same bass. The pickups are passive. I took the preamp out about 5 years ago and it was the best Mod I ever made. In my opinion it's the best sounding p bass I've ever heard. I always gets complements on the tone of that bass at gigs.
