Fender 810 vs Traynor 412

  1. Anyone compared these? Need to downsize but when I plug into the Fender it sounds amazing. The tone is much better than my Ampeg 410 HLF. Can't do a side-by-each so would appreciate some input. I've heard some good things about the Traynor 412 cabs. Thoughts?

  2. I haven't tried against the Fender 810, but I have tried my TC412 against an Ashdown ABM610 and late 90s SVT810, I found that both 10 based cabs sounded very muddy compared to the 412.
The 412 can really cut in a mix well, it's very mid-centered with lots of punch. Being able to dial the horn to a specific setting helps a lot, as it can get a little "clanky" in spots.

  3. Thanks, sounds like just what I need.

  4. old thread, but i recently picked up a Traynor 412 and tested it against my Ampeg 810, the Traynor if far pumchier and clearer, however i played them together as well and it sounded Amazing.... needless to say i have sold my 810.
