I was not looking to trade. I kind of have too many basses anyway, and just picked up a Lull PJ-5. If you have some crazy idea let me know. For that fact I have a Lakland Skyline 5 that never gets played. Hmmm a trade for a Lakland P style with a Darkstar?

So if I were to trade I would throw in the Skyline frettless with maple top in trade for a P bass style bass with a Darkstar PU, and smaller frets like the Lakland. Or an older Fender P with medium size frets (or smaller).

Definetly not looking to go for a 6. And for that fact I am pretty happy with my 5s. So as I posted above I can add a fretless and maybe cash for the right 4 in the P styled world.

The sn indicates 08. These models didn't move thru Kanas City's GC stores all that fast. In general KC is not a great market for high end basses, or 5 strings.

I can look up the sn if you want. It was new. The Overland Park store (a KC suburb) got in the same bass for their opening inventory and it was on the shelf about 2 years if I racall correctly.

FYI - according to bathroom scale method weight is in the 9lb range. Sorry I can't be more accurate. It feels typical for this type of bass.

FYI for the curious, Serial No. DZ7178xxx.
This indicates a deluxe bass made in 2007.
In digging thru the receipt and little red Fender tag, I find the serial number for the paperwork and the neck do not match. Apparently GC did a poor job of storing the case and accessories and tracking them with the actual bass on the floor.

I'm being transparent on this because some folks asked for details, and now that I looked into it more carefully this is what I have found.
