Fender American Jazz Bass Noise/Hum

Hey everyone, question about some humming I'm getting from my bass.

I just bought a new (to me) 2016 Fender American jazz bass, and it's got a really bad hum when the tone is all the way up (bright), even if both pickup volume knobs are all the way up. I know that jazz basses can be a bit noisy, but what's interesting is that I A/B'd my bass with a friend's 2013 Fender American jazz bass, and his bass doesn't have that issue. One key difference between the two basses are the pickups... I believe mine are the VMOD pickups, not sure what his are, but I know they are the stock Fender pickups from that year.

Any thoughts?

Were the pickups changed, because I thought the V-mods (I have a 5 string in avatar) came out in 2017. You probably already know the bridge and neck pickups on a jazz should be wired in the opposite direction so when both are on they cancel the hum. Either alone has various amounts of hum also probably dependent on shielding. Is it an American Professional or an american standard which should have the CS pickups not the v-mod.

Sorry, it's an American Professional and actually looks like it could be 2017 based on the serial number (Us16097412).

But yeah, what's weird is that it hums when both volume knobs are all the way up.

I have an all original (except P.G.) 2016 Fender American Standard Jazz and it has some barely audible hum but disappears when the volume controls are matched. They're single coil pups which hum. I have no additional noise when touching anything else on the bass. Check all soldering points.
