2012 Fender Am Select P Bass is new, unplayed with new flats and setup by luthier Ron Pace in Houston. I bought this in Dec 2014 for $1200. Although not advertised as such, I believe that it was B stock from Fender due to a scratch in the clear coat only, about 2 inches long, and "foggy" finish on the back of the body between the neck plate and the upper horn. I have taken a picture of the area below, and while you cannot see it in the photos it is definitely there when angled in the light. It is minimal, but I am extremely picky about my finish and would not have paid the $1600-1800 these Selects go for new. Other than the finish flaw, this bass is absolutely perfect with an aggressive P sound. The electronics, hardware and neck/body of the American Select series are top notch, and if you're interested in his bass, you are undoubtedly familiar with the specs.
