Hi guys,
I am sort of thinking in getting a second a P ... and have this dilemma ...
Yesterday I tried a AO 50s P in a store and really liked it, the neck felt awesome and I really liked the fact that it can be very thick with tone rolled off and pretty bright with the tone open .. so it is pretty versatile.
On the other hand I have an offer for a used Fender American Professional II with a Custom Vintage '59 Split Single-Coil (Mike Dirnt) on it instead of the Vmod ... which I think is a plus. It looks mint ... only pictures as I can't try it.
The AO 50 has thick C neck profile that I liked ... and the APII has 1963 C neck which I have no idea about ... so I was wondering if there is much difference on these profiles. Both are maple FB
I am pretty sure the AO 50s has a .1uf cap judging how it rolled off at the end ... anyway caps are cheap, but as I said I liked it.
So any thoughts on these two models ...just remember the APII does NOT have V-mods. And obviously the price for the used APII is around 400€ less
