Looks like an authentic Fender Flea to me. Is there something about it that is giving you concern?

MIM Fender Flea signature Jazz. $1400 is too much for a preowned one, IMO. They are something like 1600 new.

There's 2 on Reverb right now for $1,100, but local pickup. (meaning the seller would net $1000)
GC has one used for about the same price ($1304 + tax) but you have a 45 day return window....
I'd inquire - but if you get a response that's "discount resistant" I'd just move on.

All these folks before me are right! Legit. I’ve played one, very good relic’d bass. The one I played was strikingly heavy too. Had to have been 10-11 lbs.
If you love it, pay up to 1100. If it’s a “nice to have” don’t pay more than 900. They’re not uncommon at all.

Haha. I wish I had a dollar for every "Is this legit?" thread featuring an alleged Fender. (It almost never is.)
Well, there's really no reason to read those threads if, like me, you don't have the knowledge/expertise to be able to help. I only read them because I often find them amusing: They often read like a good mystery unfolding over the course of the thread, and it somehow feels satisfying when the jury comes in and everybody agrees on an answer.
Anyway, to clarify my "summary," it's true that there aren't that many of these cases in which the alleged year-X, all-original, U.S.-made Fender is judged to be a complete counterfeit, built from scratch to look like the real deal, so in that sense you were right. But it's also true, as I said, that there also aren't many that are judged to be completely legit either. The most common verdict, from my experience, has been something in between: e.g., the body looks legit but the neck is wrong, or vice-versa, or it doesn't have the original pickups or tuners or pickguard, etc.
