Fender AVRI '62 Jazz Impressions?

Damn i want. Ive had no luck findin a new 62 Oly White jazz online...its like all of a sudden with the new AVRIs out that these vanished. I know they are discontinued but someone still has to ahve them in stock right?

This was the moment I cracked the case open and got a whiff of nitro! This bass is a beast. Love the stack knob layout. Much more flexible than VVT. JMHO of course!

+1, though you might get some argument from Lakie Skyline fans.

I have both an AVRI Jazz and a Skyline 44-60. Both are great basses, but I prefer the Skyline, if only for the tone. The AVRI has a boomier tone (Think JPJ or Paul McCartney) whereas the Skyline can cop the Geddy tone with ease.

love my '09 AV 'til death!!!

i sanded down the neck and installed the CS60's pups and it is a scarey Tone Monster. also, the playability is off the charts.

played the american standard yesterday at gc, and it didn't sound the same as my mij jb62 that i put custom shops in, it sounded more focused, brighter, and not boomy at all seemed to be a little subdued or maybe the pickups were less hot
