I recently put my 2010 Rick' 4003 (in Midnight blue) up f/sale/trade on Craigslist. I'm selling it for $1000 which is probably a little low given that it's practically new and in good condition but I've also offered trades for any good old tube heads (i.e. old Bassmans, Sunn Model Ts. Ampeg SVT-CL etc).
I've been offered a late '90s Fender Bassman 400 head and matching 115. Both are cream and I've been told the speaker is very nice (aJBL 151-4 -300 or so watts). I do know it's solid state but that aside know nothing of these amps.

Does this seem like a fair deal? I actually do have a really nice old tube head; a Plush Royal 1060-s which is 100w but it's currently in the shop as it had been causing me trouble for a while (giving off a weird distortion) so I'm essentially amp-less until they let me know what the craic is with my Plush, hence wanted to do some sort of trade.

I love Fender amps, but I'd be looking for + cash in trade for a Rick.

That amp head can be found any day for $200-$300. Not a fair deal at all. For that head and cab, he should be throwing you an extra $500 minimum in my opinion.

Thanks for the info! I couldn't find any pricing on these. I upped my price and added more info to my trade requirements. Also emailed the guy back about this deal so I just have to wait to see what he says....

Right on. The bad deal about posting an instrument up for cheap is that you get people low balling you even worse. Realistically I think $500 plus the fender setup is still a steal on his part.
