I have been so lost trying to research bass amps. I have been recommend the bassman but with the different years and the fact people use them as a guitar amp. I am not sure if it wise to purchase one not knowing if it can handle my bass. If anyone can clarify my confusion on when these bass amps became guitar amps. Thank.

Fender Bassman Confusion

The two current models are the Fender Super Bassman (all tubes) and the Fender Bassman 800 (tube preamp).
Both of these models are made for and are quite capable of handling bass guitar.
