For Sale: Fender Jazz Blacktop Made in Mexico 2012 shipped in a Fender ATA case
This bass is 9.2 lbs.; light for a double pickup bass.
The bass is used but in great condition, it is 100% stock and has some light marks on the bottom edge near the strap peg and one mark near the bridge from changing strings. The bass is black with a black pick guard.
Made in Mexico, this is a 2012, limited run with the double P pickups. These basses are not rare per se but a little hard to find particularly in this condition. It's one of the few double P non-custom instrument available made in the style of the old BC Rich bass or Leland Sklar iconic instrument.
Note the plastic is still on the pick guard, that's why it looks funny. As usual with black basses, they pickup a lot of reflections while being photographed, so if something looks strange it is a reflection not an issue with the finish. The bass has no fret wear and has been played very little. The marks on the bottom edge come from storing the bass.
This bass has a really nice neck with a slick retro style varnish that is very fast. This neck feels and plays well. The Fender ATA case has a few storing marks but the inside is super clean and free of pet hairs, odors and other strange things. I do not have the key to this case.
