Details

For Sale: 2013 Fender Custom Shop Closet Classic Precision Pro. I'm the second owner after buying it here off a TB'er in 2013 (when it was just 6 months old). The condition is identical to when I bought it, never gigged, mostly lived in my closet (pun intended).

It just got a pro setup wearing new set of TI Jazz flats.

$2700 shipped in the US.

Details:
  • It Is Shielded and weighs about 9 lbs

From Fender:

The Custom Shop 2011 Closet Classic Precision Bass Pro combines the best of the Precision and Jazz Bass models into a truly distinctive instrument with a special bleached Three-Color Sunburst lacquer finish and Closet Classic wear treatment, which imparts the look of a long-lost but newly rediscovered instrument.

Features include an alder body, lightly tinted quartersawn maple neck with a 1960s Jazz Bass U shape, rosewood fingerboard with 10" radius and 20 medium jumbo frets, Jazz Bass pickup in the 1970s Precision Bass position, three-ply tortoiseshell pick-guard, Badass bridge, vintage-style paddle tuners, black hard-shell case and certificate of authenticity.

From the original ad:

It has been played and has a few imperfections, but is in overall great condition; 8 out of 10.

Here's the original ad: FS:Fender Custom Shop Closet Classic Precision Pro 3TB

The condition of this bass is just as it was when I bought it. Never gigged. Just used lightly in my home studio, mostly cased at room temp in California (not humid). It's an amazing instrument. I wish I could afford to keep it, but I'm forced to get light on my feet.

Thanks for looking!

These are amazing basses. I own one and as I recall only about 60 of them ever made. They seldom come up for sale and there’s a reason for that. Get one while you have a chance.

Okay, I just weighed this for the first time. Not sure how accurate the scale I'm using is but it reads 9.04lbs (which is exactly what my CS Pino Palladino weighs with the same bridge)
