Fender dead spots

I have a 5 string Jazz Bass Plus that I had pleked and refretted, it has no discernible dead spots in it.

I have heard about dead spots, especially on the G string around the 5th, what causes this and is it distinctly unique to Gender basses?

If you Google “bass dead spots”, you’ll probably find a ton of information. Fairly common

Common amongst most basses,not just fender.

While not all that uncommon, there is no hard and fast rule that says Fender, or any other bass has to have dead spots.

I also found there are one "soft spot" on E string from some Fender or Squier bass . Within 2nd fret to 7th fret.
More notable with flatwound bass string.

The note are ring right and still has the sustain , but the continuous sustain can't stay solid and keep full voice as the rest.

It is different compare to dead spot.
