Fender Deluxe and Standard

What's the difference between them? I might be just missing something blunt and obvious here, but I'm still curious to know. It doesn't matter if it's a Jazz or Precision.


Same goes for Highway One and Standard (MIM). The Highway has the Badass bridge, that's one difference, but besides that, any others? Or is that the only difference thus naming it "Highway One?"

Standard = Passive
Deluxe = Active


There's slightly more to it, but that's the crux of it.

MIM standards are made in Mexico while Highway Ones are actually American made. (you won't find many people calling them MIA's though) The HW1s even have graphite reinforced necks and nitro finishes, the MIMs have no reinforcement and they are poly finished.

also i believe that the deluxe p is the only mim w/ maple neck as an option
