Fender deluxe chainsaw case

I just bought a 90s p-bass deluxe chainsaw case, the one with the blue label . my 95 p bass won't fit? The small horn is to long on my bass? Is there a way to get it to fit? The bass fits in top molded part but the bottom part has a small horn? Any help

How close is it to fitting?
I'm assuming the fitted part of the case is styrofoam. You may be able to take a smooth, appropriately-shaped object and use it to squish the foam enough to get your bass in. If not, then you can remove the foam from the case, carefully pull the fabric lining from the foam, and then carve away foam until your bass fits it. Put the fabric back over the foam with a little spray adhesive, and the foam back in the case with the same spray adhesive or hot glue.

Enjoy!

I've tried taking foam out having big trouble removing foam? Any ideas?
It's hot and dry right now in my part of Texas. I would set the case out in the sun for an hour or so. The heat softens the adhesive, and hard plastic expands at a greater rate than the styrofoam which helps to separate them. Test around the edges to find the weakest spot and start from there. A putty knife, spatula, or even a butter knife is useful to push through the glue and pry the pieces apart.
Breaking the foam isn't the worst thing in the world - you'll probably never notice once you have everything back together.
If the shape needs to change a drastic amount, then you may want to trade it for a case that fits without modification.
