Fender Jazz Bass 75 RI Japan

The only dodgy thing I can see is the seller’s description that the instrument is like a Geddy Lee signature model. The neck profiles of the 75 RI and the Geddy Lee are very different. The 75 RI uses a three-bolt neck attachment, whereas the Geddy Lee uses a four-bolt neck attachment. Lastly, the Geddy Lee has a Leo Quan BA bridge.

I have a CIJ 75 RI and like it a lot.

Looks to be an authentic CIJ 75 RI (with aftermarket strap locks added by the seller or a previous owner). Mine has the same pickguard — drilled for the neck pickup cover and a tugbar, plus that extra screw between the neck heel and neck pickup.

The MIJ/CIJ 75 RI basses are nice but. They really aren't correct. They got the cosmetic stuff, inlays, binding on the neck - other than that it's more like a standard JB-355. Doesn't have the 70's pickup spacing. Same body and pickguard as on the 62 or the JB-355.

Fine basses but missing some details that really should have been on the spot to be an RI.

The bridge on that bass is non - stock as well. Looks to be a hi-mass replacement of some kind. Probably, still a greatbass.
