For sale Fender Jazz bass neck American Professional II Loaded

I have 2 of these on 4 bolt bodies, they work perfectly. These necks are wonderful.

These necks are my favorite playing fender neck to date. Have 2 mounted and 3rd waiting for me get a body for it.

So these would work on a 4 bolt body? How does it fit and what modifications do you need to do in order to get it to fit?

They fit perfectly. You have to drill one or two holes in neck for screws. Easy. Great price here

From what I read and could see on my own (I placed it in a Warmoth body but didn't drill the extra holes), the top right screw lines up perfectly (looking from the back, bass side towards the neck) and the other three holes need to be drilled. These three new holes are NOT close to the existing holes so should cause no problem with strength (you won't have two holes close to each other).

Fender essentially just changed the body and the screw pattern without making any changes to the neck (except the drilled hole pattern). My plan was to place the neck on my body of choice, gently screw the one matching hole in place, string the bass with low tension to ensure proper alignment, and then drill out the three new holes using the bass body as guide. You just need to mark the drill bit for the screw depth so you know when to stop! You don't want to drill through the fretboard (obviously). Drill bit size is easy to determine because you just match it to the existing holes in the neck.

Slap one of these on a Tony Franklin body, and you get the best PJ Fender you will ever play.

I bought this new for a project that didn't happen so it hasn't been mounted. Comes with new tuners installed. You can load this onto a 5 bolt neck as is, or you can drill another three holes (the top treble hole is the same) and mount it to a 4 bold Fender pattern. This is what I was going to do but then abandoned the project.
