Fender Jazz Info

Can anyone tell me the model and value of this bass? It's a 1993 Fender Jazz (model unknown), made in USA. Very unusual.

It`s a Jazz Bass Plus.
Has active electronics based on Kubicki basses.

It's a jazz plus. Kubicki preamp, gotoh bridge and tuners. It was the flagship jazz of its time. I have a fiver. The ones with a clear finish were 100 more than the ones with paint. I paid 890 for mine new 5string clear finish ash body. They don't get much love. May get 600 for it.

Most people who have owned them swear by them, but their different look with lack of pickguard and control plate I think is why they resell for less.

I wouldn't buy the first one either - the strings are incorrectly installed on it, although it's nice that they put a spare string on it in case you break one.

A keeper, that's for sure.
